With my late Mom on her 80th birthday
About Flo Minton
Legacy Preservation, Podcaster & Certified Senior Advisor®
My work with older adults began years ago as the owner of Visiting Valet, a non-medical home care company that helped seniors remain safe and independent in their own homes. Along the way, I had the privilege of hearing remarkable stories — memories, experiences, lessons and bits of wisdom gathered over a lifetime. After losing my own parents and grandparents, I realized how much of their stories I never knew and how many questions I could no longer ask. I can’t go back and capture those memories, but I can help other families preserve theirs.
Today, I bring together my experience in eldercare with more than 20 years in audio and video production and graphic design to help older adults preserve the stories, values and messages they want to leave for their loved ones. As a Certified Senior Advisor® (CSA), I am also dedicated to helping older adults and their families better understand the choices, resources and services available to them as they navigate the challenges and transitions that come with aging.
Education has always been an important part of my work. As host of Live Long, Live Well, a weekly one-hour radio program on 960 The Patriot (KKNT) in Phoenix, Arizona, I conducted in-depth interviews with experts covering the legal, financial, medical and social aspects of aging. Today, I host the podcast Ask Flo – Straight Talk on Eldercare, where I continue to provide practical, straightforward guidance for older adults and families navigating aging, caregiving, senior living, aging in place, memory care and life’s transitions.
Ask Flo Eldercare Advisory brings all of my life experience together around a single mission: to help families preserve a legacy, successfully navigate the complex world of eldercare, and make informed decisions about the journey ahead.
